Team-M at International TKD Festival

Team-M will be making a guest appearance at the International Taekwondo Festival 2009, an international tournament with over 5000 attendees. The event will be held in Southern California on June 6 and 7, 2009. Team-M is honored to have been invited to perform at the event’s opening ceremony and is looking forward to putting on a spectacular show. Team M Juniors Competed in Stanford Taekwondo Spring Open 2009

With dedicated coaches by their side, along with the support of fellow Team M members, families, friends, and fans to cheer them on, Team M Juniors, currently consisting of five members (ages range from 7-10), competed at the Stanford Taekwondo Spring Open 2009, held at Maples Pavilion on May 23, 2009. Team M Juniors swept the poomsae competition in their respective belt divisions, bringing home four gold medals and one silver. The silver medal was a bitter sweet lost to another fellow Team M Junior member! Four Team M Junior members also put their taekwondo mettle and sparring skills to the test in sparring competitions. Junior members gave their opponents some fierce competitions, resulting in three gold medals and a bronze. Judging from the successes Team M Juniors had at this tournament, both in poomsae and sparring, the Junior members demonstrated that they are capable of representing Team M. No doubt, there will be more great things to come from the Junior members!

KSA Cultural Show

One of Team M’s goal is to spread the art and love of Taekwondo and inspire others to further their Taekwondo skills through trainings and demonstrations at various venues. On May 16, 2009, Team M is doing just that by partnering with Stanford’s Taekwondo Program to put on a joint demonstration at the KSA Cultural Show to be held on Stanford’s campus. In preparation for this first time joint project, Team M and Stanford Taekwondo Program members have been training together at Stanford’s well equipped Taekwondo training facility. Co-training have allowed members of both teams to learn each other’s expertise, acquire new skills and techniques, and afforded exposure to new artistic and innovative ways of expressing the art of taekwondo.
