Welcome to the 2012 Stanford Taekwondo Competition Poomsae Seminar! With further development of the sport of competition poomsae within our community in mind, the Stanford University Taekwondo Program is proud to present its first Stanford Taekwondo Competition Poomsae Seminar on Sunday, February 19th. Its primary objective is to help athletes, coaches, and judges better understand the theory of scoring taekwondo poomsae according to WTF/USAT, as well as the latest training methods adopted by high-level competitors. Including both lecture and hands-on training components, this seminar will be led by two experienced Stanford instructors: - Master Vincent Lo (certified WTF Poomsae International Referee, with years of experience judging at USAT and NCTA National Team Trials) - Team-M head Coach Huy Nguyen (current US National Poomsae Team Member, boasting the development of 11 other National Poomsae Team Members). Both renowned Stanford instructors sincerely hope to share their vast judging, competing, and coaching experiences to help athletes, coaches, and judges perfect their knowledge of the current WTF/USAT poomsae standards and better prepare for upcoming poomsae competitions:
